Create Wellbeing LLC
Kathleen is a behavioral scientist, therapeutic expressive art coach, educator, artist and the owner of Create Wellbeing in Oakland, CA where she researches, designs and offers integrative art practices that support healing, self-discovery and ongoing well-being. Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, a BA in Behavioral Science (a cross-disciplinary degree in psychology, sociology and anthropology) and minor studies in art, Therapeutic Art Coach certification, Early Childhood Education certification, advanced certification in the Usui System of Natural Healing and over 30 years of somatics, non-dual therapy and direct awareness study and practice.
Raised by two artists, Kathleen has been making art her entire life. During her early years as a special education and preschool teacher, then later in her work as an elementary school counselor and psychology intern, she learned how art, psychology and wisdom traditions can be synthesized in ways that help people to self-regulate, heal and sustain well-being both personally and collectively. As a behavioral scientist and therapeutic expressive art practitioner Kathleen guides individuals and groups through transformational art journeys that encourage self-expression and psychospiritual integration.
As an artist, Kathleen explores the impact that human actions and mythologies have on the health of individuals and societies. Some of her interactive pieces are designed to show how art itself can change the way we feel and even be used as a touchstone for personal and planetary healing.
Kathleen offers individual sessions both in-person and online. She also teaches in-person and online classes, workshops and webinars.
