Create Wellbeing LLC
Kathleen is a behavioral scientist, therapeutic expressive art coach, educator, artist, and the owner of Create Wellbeing in Oakland, CA where she researches and designs what she calls psychospiritual art journeysSM: a holistic synthesis of expressive and noetic art, contemporary psychology, energy work, and wisdom traditions that support healing, self-discovery, and ongoing well-being. Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, a BA in Behavioral Science (a cross-disciplinary degree in psychology, sociology, and anthropology) and minor studies in art. Kathleen is also a certified Therapeutic Art Coach, Paralegal, Early Childhood Educator, and Celtic Reiki Master with advanced certification in the Usui System of Natural Healing.
Raised by two artists, Kathleen has been making art her entire life. During her early years as a special education and preschool teacher, then later in her work as an elementary school counselor and psychology intern, she learned how art, psychology, and wisdom traditions can be combined in ways that help people to self-regulate, heal, and sustain well-being. As a behavioral scientist and therapeutic expressive art practitioner Kathleen guides individuals and groups through psychospiritual art journeysSM that encourage self-expression and integration.
As an artist, Kathleen explores the impact that human actions and mythologies have on the health of individuals and societies. Some of her interactive pieces are designed to show how art itself can change the way we feel and even be used as a touchstone for personal and planetary healing.
Kathleen offers individual sessions both in-person and online. She also teaches in-person and online classes, workshops, and webinars.
