Create Wellbeing LLC
Welcome to Create Wellbeing, an integrative wellness practice in Oakland, CA. Kathleen is a behavioral scientist, therapeutic expressive art coach, educator, artist, and the owner of Create Wellbeing where she researches, designs, and offers integrative wellness practices that support self-discovery and sustain ongoing well-being. Integrative wellness is a multi-sensorial process that combines contemporary psychology with therapeutic art, somatic work, and energy healing as a way to open us up to the creative field from which all expression and fundamental qualities of well-being arise.
Kathleen's educational background includes a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, a BA in Behavioral Science (a cross-disciplinary degree in psychology, sociology, and anthropology with a focus on global wisdom traditions) and minor studies in art, Therapeutic Art Coach certification, Early Childhood Education certification, advanced certification in the Usui System of Natural Healing, Celtic Reiki Master certification and over 30 years of non-dual and direct awareness study and practice.
Raised by two artists, Kathleen has been making art her entire life. While she always knew she wanted to be an artist, she also felt a predilection for behavioral science, teaching, and the study of wisdom traditions. In time she found that these vocations quite naturally complimented and enhanced each other. During her early years teaching in special education and preschool then later in her work as an elementary school counselor and psychology intern, Kathleen saw first hand how art, psychology, and wisdom traditions can be synthesized in ways that help people to self-regulate and sustain well-being both personally and collectively.
Kathleen offers individual sessions, classes, workshops, and webinars. Her webinars are offered through Stanford's Healthy Living Program and directly through Create Wellbeing. Workshops and classes are hosted both online and at various in-person locations.
